works well but needs interface enhanced
This appears to work well, and is a nice unobtrusive product. The problems I noticed:
- it gives no indication that it has begun downloading, so I thought it was not working at all at first.
- it does not always tell you when it has finished downloading. I had to watch the activity indicator and then try to start a new download, and then follow an exact sequence: cancel my new download; hit the OK button (which would pop up saying it was finished, as soon as I tried a new download) and then start a new download once again. If I hit the OK button first, it crashed.
- when you had to hit a button to get past an intermediate screen before it would download (for example, when it gave you a "mature content" warning or it told you it was a private file, then it was not possible to download this file at all. There should be a way to buffer such an intermediate screen and still continue to the download.
I would like a more reliable indicator that it is downloading or has finished downloading.
Aside from that, seems to be OK software.

Youtube Downloader Review
Well, as many others outh there, I downloaded this program thinking that it would be the only way to download videos from YouTube. However, when I tried to download a video it didn' t work. I downloaded another video, but again it didn' t work. I don' t know why that happened, but it really made me dissappointed from that popular product. If there was a real solution to my problem, of course I would really tell that it was good, but now my ratings are about poor and fair. Its price was excellent but I din' t see the other features to review. I hope to have helped the customers, to decide about that product.

I tried two other programs before this one. I simply wanted to watch a video because I can't do it on YouTube, even though I have everything they require. I tried this one and it works with no trouble. Thnaks!

Finally someone got it right!
The first day I downloaded it I was able to understand and use it very quickly. I downloaded a flv video player and it worked on there too. This is a must download!

Work for the thing I needed
Hello there,
A few days ago I needed to hear a podcast from Youtube about how to debug Ajax applications. As you know Youtube videos are not so simple to get to your computer. Therefore such programs as Youtube Video Downloader exist.
And what's the news :) - this program does its job as it was claimed. Very simple way to get a clip onto your PC. Just copy an URL of your video and paste it to Youtube Video Downloader URL field. Then start to download and viola. After some time you receive the file onto your computer. Another headache is to view the Flash video, but it is not a nissue of the Youtube Video Downloader.

It`s simple and it works!
Downloaded it because the Video Downloader extension for Firefox stopped working. It has a simple and straightforward interface and does the job. All I could ask is that it would support other video sites (e.g. DailyMotion).

Download files cannot be like open in real player, because the flv file corrupt every time I open. So correct it please.

Admirable.
I like to get videos from youtube to bring them to home to watch them with my friends. Especially I mean table tennis related videos because I am a fan of table tennis. Therefore this is very convenient to receive them and watch in a quiet environment.
the only thing is lack - not possible to run a few download processes at the same time. To produce I need to run a few program's processes.

getting started
I can't get it to work so far. But, I haven't been able to get any similar products to work as well, so I think their is a setting problem somewhere else outside the software that is causing this failure.
It looks like a great product.
